Bilateral political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and Belarus

The State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Damjan Jović, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Yuri Ambrazevich, held bilateral political consultations today in Belgrade between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

In a friendly and open discussion, both sides reaffirmed that the relations between Serbia and Belarus are characterized by traditional friendship, cultural, historical, linguistic, and religious closeness between the two fraternal nations, as well as mutual respect, understanding, and support.

The consultations addressed key aspects of bilateral relations and cooperation within international organizations, as well as other important topics and current developments at the international and regional levels.

A shared commitment was confirmed to further develop cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, based on friendship and mutual understanding, with a particular focus on the economy and agriculture, where existing potential has not yet been fully utilized.

State Secretary Damjan Jović reiterated Serbia’s gratitude to the Republic of Belarus for its firm, continuous, and principled support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia, as well as for its support of Serbia’s efforts to resolve the issue of Kosovo and Metohija through peaceful means and dialogue.
