Yerevan: Ambassador Panajotović Cvetković with the Rector of the Yerevan State University

Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Armenia Tatjana Panajotović Cvetković met with the rector of the Yerevan State University Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, with whom she discussed the development and strengthening of bilateral university cooperation.

Rector Hovhannisyan welcomed the ambassador and spoke about the Yerevan State University, which with its 102-year long history is one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in Armenia, and has 19 schools today. He spoke about the current priorities of the University, with emphasis on the development of the information technology sector, natural sciences, research, etc. He pointed out that this renowned educational institution has an agreement on cooperation with the University of Belgrade and expressed his willingness to improve cooperation on this front, both bilaterally and within the EU Erasmus+ program.

Ambassador Panajotović Cvetković expressed her gratitude for the information, supported the proposals presented and expressed her interest in the possibility of promoting the Serbian language at this University, i.e. the possible opening of a centre or department in Yerevan.

In a cordial conversation, the speakers also discussed the modalities of future practical cooperation between the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in the Republic of Yerevan and the Armenian State University.
