Tokyo: Presentation on Serbia before the Olympic and Paralympic Games
The representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia, Tijana Nagato, held a virtual class of Serbian cuisine and presented Serbian gastronomic specialties, while a student from Serbia, Ana Logo, held a Serbian language class for the citizens of Fujimi, a city that hosted Serbian handball players and judokas.
The director of the Sports and Culture Department of the city, Kenichi Toriumi, expressed satisfaction with the holding of another in a series of promotional events, which aim to bring Serbian culture closer to the citizens of Fujimi.
Representatives of the Serbian Embassy, Jelena Nikolić and Tijana Nagato, participated in a virtual exchange organized by the citizens of Fujimi, together with representatives of the embassies of Bahrain, Philippines, Colombia, as well as representatives of the Olympic Committees of Vietnam, Ghana, Congo, Sri Lanka and India.
The virtual gathering was held with the aim of presenting countries that have qualified athletes and disciplines in which they compete, and participants were divided into three groups where they answered citizens' questions about popular sports, the preparation of athletes for the Olympic Games, cheering and encouraging athletes in their mother tongue.
Also, a seminar was organized for volunteers who will help athletes during the training camps in the cities of Saga and Karatsu, where Serbian basketball players are staying, and in addition to representatives of the International Friendship Society of Saga Prefecture, Tijana Nagato also participated in the virtual conference.
