Tirana: Ambassador Vukčević meets with Director of the Albanian Customs Genti Gazheli

Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Tirana Slobodan Vukčević has met with Director of the Albanian Customs Genti Gazheli. The interlocutors discussed the Open Balkans initiative and other topics of common interest.

Director Gazheli told Ambassador Vukčević that the signed agreements within the Open Balkans initiative were being implemented smoothly as regards the Albanian side. He also informed the Ambassador that the renovation and the expansion of the Kjafasan–Qafë Thanë border crossing between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Albania was underway, and that the Finance Ministers of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of North Macedonia would be invited to attend its opening.

When asked by Ambassador Vukčević whether cooperation between the respective Customs Administrations of Serbia and of Albania had been established, Director Gazheli pointed out that cooperation existed and expressed interest in meeting with the Director of the Customs Administration of the Republic of Serbia in Belgrade or Tirana.
