Timisoara: Promotion of three economic and tourist events in Vršac

Three economic and tourist events in Vršac: Winefest, The Wreath of Vršac and Wind Rock Festival to be held during the next month, were promoted at a press conference held in Timisoara.

In addition to a large number of representatives of local and regional media, the presentation was attended by representative of the Association of Serbs in Romania Dejan Popov, director of the Tourist Organisation of Vršac Tatjana Palkovač, member of the City Council in charge of culture Trajan Kračun, Director of Wind Rock Festival Kristijan Petku and Consul Marija Šošić, who welcomed the attendees, emphasising the importance of those specific events in nurturing and preserving the cultural heritage and traditions of the inhabitants of northern Banat, as well as from the aspect of introducing new genres and events.

Consul Šošić emphasised that those events were usually visited by tens of thousands of visitors, including a large number of Romanians and citizens of Timisoara, and that they were therefore important for the development and strengthening ties between residents of the border areas of Serbia and Romania.

Representatives of the city and the Tourist Organisation of Vršac presented in detail the event programmes, which this year will be accompanied by several attractive cultural and artistic events, and invited the citizens of Romania and Timisoara to visit Vršac.

After the press conference, the attendees had the opportunity to taste Serbian specialties and advertising material was distributed to interested citizens.
