Sofia: Ambassador Jović and Honorary Consul Anastasia Solakov visited the Municipality of Chepelare

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Bulgaria H.E. Željko Jović, and Ms Anastasia Solakov - Honorary Consul of Serbia in Bulgaria, visited the Municipality of Chepelare, where they met with Mayor Boran Hadjiev.

The municipality of Chepelare, although it has a rather small population, has a strong industrial sector, headed by the factory of world-famous brands of ski equipment "Salomon" and "Atomic".

Mayor Hadjiev pointed out the potential for improving economic cooperation with Serbia.

Considering that the famous ski centre Pamporovo is located in this municipality, and that numerous Serbian tourists choose this destination in the winter season, the possibility of improving certain services was discussed in order to ensure a more pleasant stay for them.

Mayor Hadjiev expressed hope for a twinning between the Municipality of Chepelare and a similar municipality in Serbia and accepted Ambassador Jović's initiative to dedicate one day to the Republic of Serbia at one of the upcoming municipal festivals in order to present the culture, the traditions, the cuisine and other relevant characteristics of Serbia.
