Northern Macedonia: Ambassador Jovanović takes office
Ambassador Jovanović conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, to President Pendarovski and all the citizens of Northern Macedonia, with best wishes for the overall prosperity and all-round development of our bilateral relations.
Jovanović emphasized that Serbia pays special attention to relations with Northern Macedonia, as one of its closest neighbors, and expressed readiness to work on further strengthening and improving cooperation in all areas.
She pointed out that our two countries are connected by strong cultural and historical ties, pointing out that Serbs living in Northern Macedonia and Macedonians living in Serbia are an additional bridge that connects us every day.
According to her, Serbia and Northern Macedonia are jointly committed to the long-term stability of the region, primarily through economic integration.
Jovanović emphasized that Serbia supports Northern Macedonia in its European aspirations, emphasizing that the entire region has a place in the European Union, as a space to which we geographically, historically and culturally belong.
At the ceremony of handing over the credentials, President Pendarovski emphasized that the two friendly countries and the two peoples are connected by long-term traditional friendship, close cultural ties and intensive cooperation in many areas of mutual interest.
President Panderovski said that the high level of bilateral relations was confirmed by the close cooperation during the humanitarian crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Also, Panderovski pointed out that he expects the two friendly countries to use all potentials and give priority to cooperation on specific bilateral and regional projects, in the economy and trade, investments, infrastructure, energy, as well as in all other areas of common interest.
