Luanda: Embassy at the gastronomy festival

The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Luanda participated in the 9th FestNeto gastronomy festival, at the invitation of the „Dr Agostinho Neto“ Foundation.
This festival marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of the first president of Angola Dr Agostinho Neto.
The festival was held at the Cultural Centre in the municipality of Catete, the birthplace of President Neto, and in addition to Serbia, the embassies of the Republic of Congo, Cuba, South Africa, Palestine, Algeria, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Norway also took part in the event.
The stand of the Embassy of Serbia was visited by Maria Eugênia Neto, widow of Dr Neto, who expressed her satisfaction over the fact that a bust to honour the memory of her husband would soon be erected in Belgrade, stressing that Serbia and Angola have always nurtured good and friendly relations.
