Kuwait: Chargé d'affaires Vidaković meets Chairman of the Kuwait Union of Consumer Cooperative Societies

Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia to Kuwait, Sanja Vidaković, met with Abdulaziz Sultan Asad, Chairman of the Kuwait Union of Consumer Cooperative Societies and Vice-Chairman of the Arab Consumer Cooperative Societies, consisting of a chain of supermarkets with acceptable prices for foreigners, as well as Kuwaitis, with who she discussed possibilities of promotion of our food industry and food product placement in the Kuwait market.

Vidaković pointed to special benefits offered by Serbia in the field of trade, which make us a suitable partner within the region, Europe and beyond.

Chargé d'affaires informed her collocutor on the economic results of Serbia in the past few years, emphasising that thanks to reforms and fiscal consolidation as well as timely and well-designed measures during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Serbian economy has achieved outstanding results, and leads the way in the region according to the number of attracted foreign investments.

Asad expressed interest in establishing commercial cooperation with Serbia, in belief that our food products are of good quality, competitive and favourable prices. He emphasised that the visit of the representative of the Serbian Embassy and the offer for establishing cooperation is occurring at the right time, since providing a safe food chain  is currently one of priority topics in Kuwait.
