Frankfurt: The second part of the project „Meet Serbia and its landmarks together with scientists“ has been implemented
The project, implemented with the support of the Central Council of Serbs in Hessen and the Serbian supplementary classes, was launched last year in an online format, and this year the lectures were held in classrooms in Frankfurt and the surrounding areas.
During the four-day visit, professors held lectures in Serbian-language supplementary school classes in Frankfurt am Main, Offenbach, Bad Homburg, Darmstadt, Wiesbaden and Rodgau.
On the last day of the visit, the Vice Deans of the Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics of Niš Zorica Stojanović Radić and Milan Zlatanović held lectures in the Church of the Resurrection in Frankfurt on the topic of „Green Treasures of Serbia“ and „Paper, Stone, Scissors“.
During their visit to the Rhine-Main region, the professors also had meetings at the Goethe University in Frankfurt, the Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences and the Justus-Liebig University in Giessen with their colleagues in the departments of chemistry, biology and mathematics in order to examine the possibility of establishing scientific cooperation and exchange between faculties within the framework of the ERASMUS+ programme.
The joint project of the Consulate General in Frankfurt and the Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics of Niš „Meet Serbia and its landmarks together with scientists“ also includes a Science Fair in Frankfurt for children attending supplementary school in the Serbian language, as well as an educational weekend in Niš for the most successful students.
