Embassy in the USA at the Festival of Serbian Food and Culture

The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in the USA participated today in the Festival of Serbian Food and Culture – SrbFest, which is traditionally held in Washington with the blessing of Bishop Irinej of Eastern America, where Serbian products, folk handicrafts, traditional objects and decorations, as well as materials of the Tourist Organization of Serbia are presented.

The organizer of the Festival, the Serbian Church of St. Luke in Washington, together with parishioners and Serbs living in Washington, Maryland and Virginia, has prepared a special cultural and artistic program, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in the United States announced.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Washington, Marko Đurić, assessed that the manifestation has significantly contributed to the preservation of Serbian culture and tradition for many years.

"I am especially pleased with the fact that, from year to year, this Festival attracts more and more visitors, both members of the Serbian community, and Americans, but also foreigners. This speaks in favor of the fact that our church has always been a place of unity, gathering and cooperation of our people who live and stay abroad", added Đurić.
