Celebration of the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the regular line between Belgrade and New York

The Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York participated in the realization of a solemn celebration on the occasion of marking five years since the establishment of the regular line and the first flight on the Belgrade-New York route, organized by "Air Serbia".

At the beginning of the celebration, the representative of "Air Serbia" Đorđe Petrović, the vice president of "Americas" in New York and the general director of "Air Serbia" Duncan Naysmith addressed the audience, emphasizing the success achieved by establishing a direct line with the USA and the significance it has had for the citizens of the Republic of Serbia and the Balkans in general.

They especially thanked the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the selfless help provided to the company's operations.

They also stressed the importance of the help of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, which sponsored the celebration, along with several other companies owned by the Serbian diaspora in the USA.

On that occasion, the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Washington, Marko Đurić, addressed the audience and greeted all present guests, especially the Bishop of Eastern America Irinej Dobrojević, the Ambassador to the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the UN in New York, Nemanja Stevanović and the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Washington Bojan Vujić.

Đurić expressed satisfaction with the anniversary, especially in the year marking the 140th anniversary of the establishment of formal diplomatic relations between the Republic of Serbia and the USA, and pointed out that he was proud to represent Serbia at a time when good and efficient relations between Serbia and the USA were of vital interest.
