Canberra: Ambassador Stefanović meets with Federal Senator for South Australia

Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Canberra Rade Stefanović met with Federal Senator for South Australia Alex Antic.

Ambassador Stefanović and Senator Antic discussed the current status of bilateral relations between Serbia and Australia, with an emphasis on parliamentary cooperation.

Ambassador Stefanović informed Senator Antic about the recent establishment of a Parliamentary Friendship Group with Australia in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

They discussed the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija and the progress of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, as well as the current economic circumstances in Serbia.

Ambassador Stefanović and Senator Antic both expressed their pleasure with the decision of the competent authorities of Australia to issue a new visa to the best Serbian tennis player, Novak Djokovic, making it possible for him to take part in the upcoming Australian Open in January 2023.
