Brussels: Ambassador Tasić meets with the State Secretary for Asylum and Migration of Belgium
They spoke about the current situation in the area of asylum and migration in Europe, stating that it requires the engagement of all European countries and that the full implementation of international agreements, bilateral cooperation and coordination of the activities of the competent immigration services are extremely important for preventing illegal migratory flows and protecting the rights of migrants in Europe.
They agreed that both countries face great migratory pressures, Serbia as a transit country, and Belgium as a country of final destination, and that in the coming period, the possibilities of further development of cooperation in this area should be considered, including direct contacts of the competent authorities of the two countries.
