Berlin: Ambassador Janković meets the Minister of State for Europe and Climate
The meeting focused on Germany's cooperation with the region, as well as the progress of candidate countries for membership in the European Union in the process of European integration.
Ambassador Janković pointed out the very good bilateral relations between Serbia and Germany and thanked for Germany's continuous support for Serbia's European path, expressing hope that the new German government would bring additional energy and accelerate the pace of Serbia's accession to the European Union. Ambassador Janković also emphasised that Serbia was one of the first countries to establish a climate partnership with Germany, and that intensive cooperation and strong support from Germany in that field was expected.
Minister of State Lührmann stressed the importance of further progress in the region in implementing reforms in the area of rule of law, fight against corruption and organised crime. She pointed out the importance and the possibilities of cooperation within the Green Agenda, emphasising that cooperation with the Western Balkans was one of the priorities of both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
