“This will undoubtedly contribute to the intensification of mutual cooperation at all levels, social exchange, renewal of tourist flow and tourist visits,” said Stefanović in an interview for the China Media Group, as reported by China Radio International CRI.
She pointed out that direct flights between Beijing and Belgrade would strengthen the iron friendship between China and Serbia.
The Ambassador said that the relations between Serbia and China were at the highest level in their history and that a big challenge for her was the way of achieving new qualitative progress in relations.
“A Free Trade Agreement between the two countries is expected to be signed soon. We expect export of Serbian products to China to be approved in the coming period, primarily of different kinds of meat, honey, apiculture products and the like. Activities are underway on the implementation of other infrastructure projects such as the construction of highways,” the Ambassador said.
The Ambassador said the Chinese Cultural Centre, which has already been built, would soon be opened in Belgrade, and a new director of the Cultural Centre of Serbia in Beijing, expected to be reopened in full capacity, would arrive in Beijing soon.
