Baku: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Azerbaijan organized exhibition of photographs on the occasion of 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations with Serbia
The gathering was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Embassy of Serbia in Baku and other institutions with which the Serbian Embassy cooperated such as the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan University of Languages, Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy, the State Migration Service, the "Azvirt" Company and others.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Halaf Halafov officially opened the exhibition delivering the introductory speech in which he pointed out that Serbia was one of the twelve European countries with which Azerbaijan had signed a document on the establishment of strategic partnership, a fact that showed how relevant Baku considered the relations with Belgrade.
Speaking of examples of good bilateral cooperation in many fields, Halafov stressed the political, economic and trade cooperation and especially the cooperation in the field of culture and infrastructure, noting that opportunities existed for common activities in other sections such as energy and transport.
Addressing the audience, Ambassador of Serbia in Baku Dragan Vladisavljević reminded that the friendship and mutual relations between the two countries dated back long before 1997, when officially established and that the two countries and peoples shared similar fate, both in the past and in modern times. Although, during the 25 years of cooperation, the two countries had achieved a lot on the bilateral level, there still existed the opened potential that needed to be grown. To that effect, Ambassador of Serbia wished both parties strengthened their international position even more in the next 25 years, grew their success and power on a daily basis and nurtured and grew the precious and sincere friendship that existed between them.
Furthermore, the guests had the opportunity to see the exhibited photographs that immortalized the events which particularly marked the bilateral relations of our two countries such as mutual visits at high level and the most relevant interstate agreements.
