The Iraqi Minister of Defense expressed satisfaction and conveyed the impressive impressions of the Iraqi delegation that recently visited Belgrade at the Arms and Military Equipment Fair. He emphasized that this opens the door to additional cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense and security.

The next steps in the process of renewing the contract, which would successfully repair Serbian "Lasta" planes and return them to the use of the Iraqi Air Force, were also discussed at the meeting.

Ambassador Balov congratulated his interlocutor on the successful conduct of the early parliamentary elections and pointed out that it was a strong proof of the overall social progress and strengthening of the democratic system in the Republic of Iraq.
