Baghdad: Ambassador Balov met with the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Iraq

In a lengthy conversation, the interlocutors agreed that the extraordinary political relations between the two traditionally friendly countries must necessarily be accompanied by enhanced economic cooperation.

Minister Al-Khafaji expressed a desire to make the field of agriculture an absolute priority in cooperation and emphasised his personal commitment to that goal. 

In expressing the impressions of his recent visit to the Republic of Serbia, Minister Al-Khafaji said that he was more than impressed by what he saw and invited the Serbian Minister of Agriculture to visit Iraq with his associates in order to discuss in direct contact the possibilities of establishing cooperation, especially in food production, modern technology transfer and engagement of Serbian experts in that field.
