Ambassador Jovićević with the President of the Parliament of the Brussels Region
The interlocutors paid special attention to the exchange of experiences in the fight against the pandemic, and Ambassador Jovićević informed her interlocutor about the balanced approach of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, which is aimed at maintaining economic flows and preserving public health.
Ambassador Jovićević informed the President of the Parliament about the immunization procedure in the Republic of Serbia, where, so far, over 3.5 million doses of vaccines against COVID-19 have been administered.
Jovićević also pointed out the excellent results that Serbia has achieved in the economy, during the crisis that hit the whole world during the pandemic.
On this occasion, the interlocutors also discussed the process of European integration of Serbia, reviewing all the challenges along the way.
Also, Ambassador Jovićević and the President of Parliament Madran discussed the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
Ambassador Jovićević pointed out Belgrade's readiness to continue the dialogue, under the auspices of the EU, in order to reach a compromise solution.
Both sides pointed out the importance of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, and agreed that during the next visit to Brussels, a meeting of members of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and members of the Group of Friendship with the Kingdom of Belgium with representatives of the Parliament of the Brussels Region would be organized.
