Political relations
Relations between Serbia and Uzbekistan are good and friendly, without open issues. Both sides express interest in exchanging visits and more frequent meetings between officials of the two countries.
Economic relations
Economic cooperation is modest and based on trade in goods. In 2021 the total trade in goods amounted to approximately 4,862 million US dollars (4,126 million euros), with Serbian exports amounting to 3,707 million US dollars (3,138 million euros) and imports to 1,155 million US dollars (988 thousand euros). In 2020, total trade between the two countries was 2.5 million dollars, of which exports from Serbia were 2.02 million dollars, and imports about 490,000 dollars. In 2019, the total level of trade in goods was slightly less than 2 million dollars, of which Serbian exports amounted to 1.2 million dollars, and imports to about 73,000 dollars.
Serbia mainly exports to Uzbekistan built-in materials for finishing works in construction from wood, glass and metal, as well as furniture, calcium phosphates, marble, corn, etc. On the other hand, Serbia mainly imports from Uzbekistan cotton and beans.
Bilateral agreements
The plan is to sign several interstate agreements with the Uzbek side in the following period.
Serbia and Uzbekistan have signed only one bilateral agreement so far, and that is the Agreement on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations.
