Political relations
On 4 May 2017, the Government of the Republic of Serbia declared 25 May as the Day of Friendship with the peoples of Africa.
Political relations are traditionally good and based on partnership.
The then Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dačić, paid an official visit to the Republic of Togo on 18–19 May 2019, when he met with the President of the Republic of Togo, Faure Essozimna Gnasssingbé, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Robert Dussey.
The then Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dačić, met with the Minister of Foreign Affair of the Republic of Togo on the side-lines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly.
Economic relations
In 2020, exports amounted to 41,000 euros, while imports amounted to 2,544,000 euros. In 2019, domestic exports to Togo amounted to 36,000 euros, and imports to 2,687 million euros.
Bilateral agreements
Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation, date of ratification: 22 November 1984.
Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Togolese Abroad of the Republic of Togo, date of signature and entry into force: 18 May 2019.
