Political relations

Relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Independent State of Papua New Guinea are good and have the potential for improvement in various areas.

The then First Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić met on 4 June 2018 in Brussels with the former Minister of Foreign Affairs Rimbink Pato.

 

Economic relations

Economic cooperation between Serbia and Papua New Guinea, for now, takes place through trade. In 2022 the total trade was 169 thousand USD, of which our export was 5 thousand USD and the import from Papua New Guinea was 164 thousand USD.

 

Bilateral agreements

Agreement between the Government of the SFRY and the Government of Papua New Guinea on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations on Ambassadorial Level between the Two Countries, signed on 21 May 1976.
