Political relations

Modern bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and New Zealand have the potential for improvement in various areas.

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremić visited New Zealand on 30-31 May 2012.

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand Murray McCauley visited Serbia on 23-24 June 2014.

 

Economic relations

Currently, the economic cooperation between Serbia and New Zealand, takes place mostly through trade exchange, which in 2022 amounted to 6,428 milion USD, of which our export of 3.193 milion USD and imports from New Zealand of 3,235 million USD.        

 

Bilateral agreements

  • Agreement (Exchange of Notes) on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations with New Zealand, signed on 29 December 1970;
  • Trade Agreement between SFRY and New Zealand, signed on 27 February 1975 (The Official Gazette—Annex No. 18/1976).
