Morocco

Political relations

Political relations are very good and friendly. They are characterised by regular contacts between officials and mutual support in international organisations.

Visits by officials of the two countries are regularly exchanged. The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, visited Morocco on 19–20 November 2024. The then Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Nikola Selaković, paid an official visit to Morocco on 5–6 May 2021. The visit of Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, to Belgrade took place on 10–11 September 2018, while the then President of the House of Representatives of the Moroccan Parliament, Habib El Malki, paid an official visit to Belgrade on 28 June 2018.

Economic relations

According to data from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, the total trade exchange with Morocco in 2025 amounted to €119.8 million, of which €58.9 million referred to exports from the Republic of Serbia and €60.9 million to imports.

Bilateral agreements

Agreement on economic and technical cooperation.

Effective date: 19 April 1962.

Long-term trade agreement between the Government of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco.

Effective date: 10 August 1978.

Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Serbia and Montenegro and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco on the abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic and official passports.

Effective date: 5 December 2005.
