Political relations
The progressive forces of Lesotho established contacts with Yugoslavia even before gaining independence (1966). A delegation from the Lesotho Congress Party visited Yugoslavia twice, in 1961/1962 and 1964.
Since 2018, there has been an improvement in political dialogue and intensification of cooperation. The then First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs I. Dačić visited Lesotho in October 2018. Former Foreign Minister of Lesotho, L. Makgothi visited Serbia in November 2018. The then Prime Minister of Lesotho T. Tabane visited Serbia in October 2019.
Economic relations
In 2020, no exports from the Republic of Serbia to Lesotho were recorded, while imports from Lesotho were worth 255.000 euros.
In 2019, no exports from the Republic of Serbia to Lesotho were recorded, while imports from Lesotho were worth 139.000 euros.
Bilateral agreements
Agreement on scientific and technical cooperation between the Government of the SFRY and the Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho.
Signed on 23 January 1976.
Protocol on Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of the Kingdom of Lesotho.
Signed on 2 September 2010.
Agreement on cooperation in the field of agriculture between the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security of the Kingdom of Lesotho.
Signed on 20 November 2018.
