Political relations
Bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Central African Republic are good and friendly. Diplomatic relations between the SFRY and the Central African Republic were established after the Central African Republic gained independence in 1960.
The Former President of the Republic of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolić, awarded the former President of the Central African Republic, Catherine Samba-Panza, with the Order of the Republic of Serbia on ribbon in recognition of merits in developing and strengthening peaceful cooperation and friendly relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Central African Republic.
The then First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Ivica Dačić, paid an official visit to the Central African Republic in March 2018.
Economic relations
In 2021, exports amounted to 89 thousand euros, while imports amounted to 23 thousand euros.
In 2020, exports amounted to 239 thousand euros, while imports amounted to 37 thousand euros.
Bilateral agreements
- Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Government of the SFRY and the Government of the CAR. Date of entry into force: 13 July 1972.
