Political relations 

On 4 May 2017, the Government of the Republic of Serbia established 25 May as the Day of Friendship with Peoples of Africa.
The bilateral relations are friendly, but political dialogue is underdeveloped, since no high-level bilateral visits have been registered in recently. Former President of the Republic of Serbia T. Nikolić presented the Order of the Republic of Serbia on Sash to the President of Cameroon Paul Biya for merits in developing friendly relations, in February 2016.
MSP N. Selaković in February 2022. payed an official visit to R. Cameroon. Foreign ministers of the two countries met on October 12, 2021, in Belgrade, on the sidelines of the meeting on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Non-Aligned Movement. MFA N. Selaković met with the MFA of Cameroon Lejeune Mbella on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly in September 2021.

 

Economic relations

In 2021, our exports to Cameroon amounted to 3.2 million euros, and imports to 294 thousand euros. In 2020, 10.3 million euros of exports and  290 thousand euros of imports were realized.

Agreement on Technical and Economic Cooperation between the FPRY and Cameroon, date of ratification: 18 April 1963
