ENTERING AND LEAVING THE COUNTRY
For citizens of the Republic of Serbia, entry into the United Kingdom is possible only with a previously obtained visa, regardless of the type of passport (diplomatic, official, national passport or other travel document). Visas or tourist passes cannot be obtained at border crossings.
The passport must be valid at the time of applying for a visa or residence permit (i.e., there is no specific remaining period of passport validity for the purposes of tourist travel or regulation of stay (residence)).
Citizens of the Republic of Serbia need a transit visa even when they do not go through passport control but continue their journey immediately upon landing (Direct Airside Transit Visa).

SOCIAL SECURITY AGREEMENT
According to the existing bilateral Agreement on Social Security, travellers from the Republic of Serbia with acute health problems may, during their stay in the United Kingdom, contact the local health stations for assistance, and they will be exempt from paying for emergency medical care, including hospital treatment for an emergency which occurred following their arrival in the UK. However, travellers with a chronic disease whose condition has worsened since arriving in the UK, will have to bear the costs of the provided health service.
Before traveling, it is necessary to obtain information from the competent social security service in the Republic of Serbia about the conditions of health insurance while in the UK.

USEFUL INFORMATION
TRANSPORT — There are several means of transport in London: underground trains (the so-called Tube), buses, and rail.

Other cities are connected through a network of coaches and trains.

All airports in the UK are well connected to cities by coaches, trains and/or metros. The railway network is very ramified. Tickets can be purchased online, but also at the station ticket counter immediately before the train journey.
OTHER INFORMATION — The only currency used for payment is the pound sterling or Great British Pound (GBP).
Deposit and withdrawal of cash money of up to 10,000 euros does not require proof of origin. With proof of withdrawing money from the bank, it is possible to carry a larger amount.
The importation of excise goods is allowed up to a quantity that can be reasonably considered as being for personal use (usually a litre of drink and a box of cigarettes).
The import of weapons into the UK is possible only for the purpose of participating in competitions and with a prior permission of the police (obtained by the competition organisers).
Loss/theft of a passport must be reported to the nearest police station in order to obtain the necessary police certificate which the passport holder will need to provide to the Serbian Embassy when requesting the issuance of a new travel document that will allow them to return to the Republic of Serbia. Citizens of the Republic of Serbia are advised to carry a photocopy of their passport during their stay in the UK. A passport photocopy will also facilitate and speed up the issuance of a new travel document in case of a lost/stolen passport.
