ENTERING AND LEAVING THE COUNTRY
Citizens of the Republic of Serbia need a visa to enter the Kingdom of Thailand. From 1 November 2022, citizens of the Republic of Serbia may apply for an e-visa via two platforms:
1. https://www.thaievisa.go.th/
Portal in English. Visa application processing takes up to 30 days.
2. https://www.vizacentar.rs/
Portal in Serbian. Visa application processing takes between 5 to 7 days.
Before applying, the guidelines in Serbian can be requested via email info@thaiconsulate.rs .
When the e-Visa is approved, the passenger will be notified via email, which must be printed and presented when boarding the plane, as well as to the immigration authorities upon arrival in the Kingdom of Thailand.
SOCIAL SECURITY AGREEMENT
No social security agreement has been concluded.
USEFUL INFORMATION
HEALTH SITUATION — Given the tropical climate, infectious diseases sometimes appear, especially in the country’s interior. For this reason, food should be consumed only in verified places.
SECURITY SITUATION — The general security situation in Thailand is stable. Minor terrorist attacks are reported periodically, which has increased the presence of the army. Security forces have additional authority, thus, restrictions on movement in certain zones are possible, as well as searches for weapons. The state of emergency was lifted in Thailand on 1 April 2015, except in the southern part of the country, in the provinces or parts of the provinces of Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, and Songkhla, as well as in the areas around the border with Cambodia.
Citizens of the Republic of Serbia, who reside in or intend to travel to Thailand, should be careful and avoid staying in areas in an active state of emergency and attending or moving close to mass gatherings, especially if they are of a political nature. Personal documents and money should be kept safe given the risk of robbery and pickpocketing. Anyone who becomes a target of a robbery should contact the police at 191.
TRANSPORT — The largest airports in Thailand are in Bangkok and the island of Phuket.
