HEALTH SITUATION – Current information on the health situation in this country can be found on the website of the World Health Organization https://www.who.int/countries/lca/
Medical institutions do not maintain a high standard. Medical expenses are mostly paid on the spot, in cash. Particular attention should be given to the presence of the following healthcare issues: zika virus, dengue fever, chikungunya fever.
SECURITY SITUATION – Tourists are mostly the target of petty crime, it is recommended to avoid moving alone, particularly in poorly lit areas of the city, beaches, etc. There are occasional cases of more severe crimes.
TRANSPORT – Roads in the country are in an average state. Public transport is based on minibuses and taxi transport. The country can be entered by ship or airplane.
Citizens of the Republic of Serbia need to obtain a local, temporary driver’s licence along with their Serbian licence. It is issued on request and based on a foreign driver’s licence. Driving is on the left side of the road.
