For holders of national passports and other travel documents: Visa required (visa is issued for a period of 30 days, with a possibility of extension for another 30 days)
For holders of diplomatic and official passports: Visa not required for stays up to 90 days

ENTERING AND LEAVING THE COUNTRY
Citizens of the Republic of Serbia apply for an e-visa via the link http://tramitesconsulares.mint.gob.ni.

It is not possible to obtain a visa or tourist pass at the border crossing.
Cash amounts over 10,000 USD must be declared, and a fee of 43 USD must be paid when leaving Nicaragua (it is necessary to check with the airline whether this fee is included in the purchase of the airline ticket or must be paid when leaving Nicaragua).
A permit is required to bring in hunting weapons.
Pets may be brought in upon presentation of a certificate from a veterinary institution in the Republic of Serbia regarding their health status and vaccination against rabies.
Dairy products may not be brought in.
SOCIAL SECURITY AGREEMENT
No social security agreement has been concluded.
USEFUL INFORMATION
HEALTH SITUATION — The general sanitary conditions are good. There are no mandatory vaccines or recommended vaccinations. It is recommended to take out travel health insurance.
It is advisable to use bottled water and avoid street food stands.
We recommend that all our citizens who travel to Central American countries, use adequate products and means to protect themselves from mosquito bites, bearing in mind that the percentage of dengue fever cases has been significantly increased.
SECURITY SITUATION — The crime risk is high, so added attention is advised. It is not recommended to carry large amounts of cash or pieces of jewellery.
It is recommended to carry a copy of a valid identity document at all times, as the Nicaraguan authorities may request them at any time and retain those without identity documents.
There is a risk of earthquakes and frequent and heavy rains. The rainy season lasts from May to October. Light clothing is recommended throughout the year.
TRANSPORT — The main airport is the Augusto C. Sandino International Airport, and the most important port is the Port of Sandino. There is no railway. The main road is the Pan-American Highway.
Motor vehicles may be operated with the Serbian driving license, but it requires taking out a liability insurance policy when entering the country.
OTHER INFORMATION — The local currency is Nicaraguan córdoba (NIO). All international credit cards are accepted. The only official foreign exchange centre is located at the international airport.
