ENTERING AND LEAVING THE COUNTRY
For holders of diplomatic and official passports, a visa is not required for a stay of up to 90 days.
In all other cases, travel to DPR Korea can only be organised. Citizens of the Republic of Serbia holding national passports need a visa to enter DPR Korea, which must be obtained ahead of their arrival to DPR Korea. It is not possible to obtain a visa at the border crossing on arrival or a tourist pass.
SOCIAL SECURITY AGREEMENT
No social security agreement has been concluded.
USEFUL INFORMATION
HEALTH SITUATION — The health situation is stable. More information can be found on the World Health Organization website.
TRANSPORT — The DPR Korea International Airport is in Pyongyang, about 20 km away from the city.
The most common way to travel to DPR Korea is by plane on the Beijing—Pyongyang route. In case of deterioration of the security situation, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Beijing, China, should be contacted.
OTHER INFORMATION — The official currency is the Korean Won (KPW). However, foreigners may only use cash in a foreign currency to make payments in DPR Korea. The US dollar, the euro, and the Chinese yuan are equally used and accepted, so it is not necessary to exchange money for the national currency, except in rare cases. Traveller's checks and credit cards are not accepted. Money being brought into the country must be declared.
