ENTRY REGIME FOR CITIZENS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Sanitary requirements related to the presentation of a negative RT PCR test for Covid-19 virus or a vaccination certificate for entry into El Salvador have been abolished.

ENTERING AND LEAVING THE COUNTRY

To enter El Salvador, citizens of the Republic of Serbia require a visa. For visas and information contact the Embassy of El Salvador in Rome.
Money in excess of USD 10,000 is to be declared when entering the country. Pets may be brought in with the presentation of a CITES certificate from the country of origin. Dairy products and food may not be brought into the country.

SOCIAL SECURITY AGREEMENT

No social security agreement has been signed.

USEFUL INFORMATION

HEALTH SITUATION – The overall sanitary situation is good. There are no mandatory vaccines, or recommended vaccinations.
It is recommended to consume bottled water and avoid food at street stalls. We recommend that all our citizens who travel to Central American countries, use adequate products and means to protect themselves from mosquito bites, bearing in mind that the percentage of dengue fever cases has been significantly increased.

SECURITY SITUATION – The risk of crime and violence is high, increased caution is necessary. It is recommended to avoid carrying valuable items, such as jewellery, smartphones, etc. Travel through secluded areas should be avoided. Since the area is seismically unstable, earthquakes are frequent. The rainy season lasts from March to October, and flooding is frequent.

TRANSPORT – The international airport is in San Salvador.

OTHER – The legal tender in El Salvador is the US dollar (USD). International credit cards can be used.
