We advise that due to tensions along the Thailand–Cambodia border, travelers exercise extreme caution and avoid border areas between Thailand and Cambodia.
Recent armed clashes and the reported presence of landmines have made the border area within 50 km of Thailand and Cambodia unsafe, particularly in the provinces of Buriram, Si Sa Ket, Sa Kaeo, Surin, Ubon Ratchathani, Chanthaburi, and Trat.
Several border crossings have been closed.
A state of emergency is in effect in certain border districts, granting local authorities increased powers. We advise heightened caution during stays in Thailand and Cambodia due to security risks.
Serbian citizens currently in these regions are advised to follow local media and comply with the instructions of local authorities.
