ENTERING AND LEAVING THE COUNTRY
Citizens of the Republic of Serbia who have a valid travel document or biometric ID card, may enter, transit and stay in the Republic of Albania without a visa for 90 days, within a period of 180 days from the date of first entry into the country.
Minors over the age of 10 who, according to the Law on Identity Cards of the Republic of Serbia, have the right to an identity card may also use ID to enter and stay in Albania.
Citizens of the Republic of Serbia who intend to travel to the Republic of Albania through the southern Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohija by crossing an administrative boundary must have a valid ID card. This includes minors over the age of 10 who have an ID card.
For traveling through the southern Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohija and crossing an administrative boundary, children must have a birth certificate with their photograph pasted or stapled (on)to it, and to enter the Republic of Albania they need a passport.
A pet may enter the country if accompanied by a vaccination passport issued by a veterinary clinic, and a written confirmation of the veterinarian that the pet is healthy.

USEFUL INFORMATION
HEALTH SITUATION – Passengers arriving from the Republic of Serbia are admitted to the territory of Albania without the need to present documents for COVID-19.
TRANSPORT – It is possible to travel to the Republic of Albania by air, landing at the Mother Teresa International Airport near Tirana. Air Serbia has four scheduled flights a week, and the flight lasts about 60 minutes. There are also direct buses on the Serbia-Albania route (especially during the tourist season, increased number of departures and destinations). A “green card”, international certificate of insurance is required to enter Republic of Albania by passenger vehicle. An international driving license is not required. According to the agreement between Republic of Serbia and Republic of Albania on mutual recognition of driver's licenses, probationary driving licenses are not recognized.
SECURITY SITUATION — There are no serious threats to visitor safety in Albania.
During the tourist season, in the summer months, visitors are advised not to leave their documents, personal belongings and valuables in their cars. Visitors are also advised to leave their vehicles on parking lots under surveillance (particularly those with video surveillance) and to always lock them. Thefts should always be reported at the nearest police station and a certificate (a written confirmation) of the reported theft should be requested. If citizens of the Republic of Serbia have their travel documents stolen, it is only on the basis of such a police certificate that the Serbian Embassy will be able to issue them an emergency travel document for return to Serbia.
OTHER INFORMATION – The official currency of the Republic of Albania is the Lek (ALL). It is possible to use payment cards issued by Serbian banks in hotels, larger shopping centres, shops and the like.
