Spouse of the President, Tamara Vucic, formally opens the 2023 Serbian Fashion Day in Paris

16. Nov 2023.
The spouse of the President of the Republic, Tamara Vucic, officially opened the Serbian Fashion Day 2023 and a fashion show dedicated to Serbian scientist and innovator Nikola Tesla, as part of her working visit to Paris.

On this occasion, Tamara Vucic spoke at the residence of the Serbian Ambassador in Paris.

"I leave you to a magical evening that will inspire you to take Tesla's thought with you forever, dreaming big and believing in such dreams, while striving to always focus them on the common good, and respecting your authenticity and your origin, just like Tesla did.

This is reflected in his words - If I would be fortunate to achieve some of my ideals, it would be on behalf of the whole of humanity. If those hopes would become fulfilled, the most exciting thought would be that it is a deed of a Serb", the spouse of the President reminded.

The present guests, which included representatives of the diplomatic corps in Paris, art and business communities, the Serbian diaspora, as well as the media, had the opportunity to enjoy fashion designs by Dejana Milosavljevic through her collection "Tesla Sculptures", Jelena Mandic and her collection "Tesla - Seed from Lika", Mladen Milivojevic Baron and the fashion collection "Women really loved Tesla", as well as by Bata Spasojevic who presented his collection "3 6 9 Tesla".

After the speakers’ statements and the fashion show, the guests enjoyed a musical performance by Nevena Djokovic, an opera diva who made the evening even more magical with her phenomenal voice.
The Ambassador of Serbia in France Ana Hrustanovic, author of the Serbian Fashion Day project Vesna de Vinca, as well as Bashar Nasri, president of the oldest French cosmetic products brand "Maison Dorin", also addressed the audience.
Fashion Day is a traditional event supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.
