Đurić confers with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela

On the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, met with Iván Gil Pinto, Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

Noting the decades-long friendship between the two countries, built on mutual respect and understanding, Minister Đurić emphasized that Serbia is firmly committed to further advancing and strengthening these relations in areas of mutual interest.

He stated that Serbia remains dedicated to deepening political dialogue, as reflected in the excellent relationship between Presidents Aleksandar Vučić and Nicolás Maduro.

Minister Đurić added that the reopening of the Serbian Embassy in Caracas further contributes to the positive momentum in bilateral relations.

Regarding mutual support on the international stage, Đurić expressed gratitude for Venezuela’s consistent and firm position on the importance of respecting Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Turning to economic cooperation, Minister Đurić highlighted Serbia’s strong interest in enhancing cooperation across all sectors, proposing the organization of a joint business forum as a valuable opportunity to explore concrete forms of collaboration.

He also welcomed Venezuela’s announced participation in the upcoming EXPO 2027 in Belgrade, describing the prestigious international exhibition as an excellent platform for further deepening ties between the two countries.
