Minister Dacic confers with the Foreign Minister of Ghana
In the talks, it was noted that the two countries were bound by traditional friendship, dating back to the 1960s, when, as the founders of the Non-Aligned Movement, they had very intensive relations and when our country’s companies were building numerous facilities throughout the Republic of Ghana.
They expressed mutual willingness to build on this solid foundation by joint forces, especially in light of the fact that the 65th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries is being marked in 2024.
The Serbian Foreign Minister thanked the Republic of Ghana for its support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia.
Minister Botchwey informed Minister Dacic about the current situation in her country and the region.
She informed him about the potential for the development of bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, agriculture, defence, culture and others. Minister Botchwey invited companies from the Republic of Serbia to examine the possibility of investing in the Republic of Ghana.
As part of the visit, on the occasion of marking the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two ministers will also hold a lecture for the trainees of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and university students from Ghana, who are studying in the Republic of Serbia as part of the "World in Serbia" programme, and Minister Botchwey will be presented with a personalized anniversary postage stamp.
