Đurić Confers with Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Taras Kachka

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Marko Đurić met today in Belgrade with the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Taras Kachka. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss a number of issues of importance to bilateral relations, as well as to exchange views on current global developments.

The Serbian Foreign Minister emphasized that Serbia attaches importance to its bilateral relations with Ukraine, while underscoring Serbia’s commitment to strengthening ties in various areas of mutual interest.

Đurić positively assessed the regular political dialogue between the two countries at the highest level, noting that the resumption of operations of the Embassy of Serbia in Kyiv has further contributed to strengthening bilateral relations.

The Serbian Foreign Minister conveyed gratitude to his interlocutor for Ukraine’s principled position regarding Kosovo and Metohija.

Đurić and Kachka also exchanged views on the European paths of Serbia and Ukraine, with the Serbian Foreign Minister emphasizing that membership in the European Union remains one of Serbia’s key foreign policy priorities. He assessed that the European Union, together with the Western Balkans, Moldova, and Ukraine, will undoubtedly become stronger and more stable.
