Lecture by Secretary General Kozarev for the students of the Diplomatic Academy

As part of the course “Foundations of the European Union’s System and Policy,” the students of the Diplomatic Academy had the opportunity today to attend a lecture delivered by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Dušan Kozarev, who shared with the future diplomats his personal experience as a member of Serbia’s negotiating team for accession talks with the European Union.
Kozarev devoted particular attention to the specific nature of Chapter 35, which, in the case of the Republic of Serbia, concerns the monitoring of the implementation of agreements reached within the framework of the dialogue on the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Priština.
Reflecting on his experience in the Belgrade–Priština dialogue conducted under EU auspices in Brussels, he specifically addressed the issue of Priština’s failure to fulfill its obligations related to the establishment of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities.
The final part of the lecture was dedicated to an interactive discussion, during which Kozarev responded to questions from the students, who expressed keen interest in this important topic.
