Kozarev confers with the Secretary General at the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dušan Kozarev, met today with Dimitris Skalkos, Secretary General responsible for International Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece.

The interlocutors noted the long tradition of friendly relations and expressed their mutual desire to further strengthen the strategic partnership between Serbia and Greece by intensifying high-level visits and cooperation in areas of common interest.

They discussed accelerating the process of European integration, strengthening regional and bilateral cooperation, and continuing political dialogue, while also addressing current global challenges, with a particular focus on the energy sector.

Kozarev expressed gratitude for Greece’s principled stance regarding the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, as well as for its continuous support for Serbia’s European path.

Skalkos congratulated Serbia on organizing the Second Meeting of International Participants of Expo 2027, noting that the exhibition represents an excellent opportunity not only to showcase numerous businesses that have already expressed interest in presenting themselves at the Greek pavilion, but also to enhance bilateral connectivity.

The meeting was also attended by Maria Levanti, Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to the Republic of Serbia; Antonios Katepodis, Head of the Department for Economic and Trade Relations at the Embassy of Greece; and Olympia Economou, adviser to the Secretary General.
