Jovanović Confers with Representatives of the U.S. Helsinki Commission

The State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Nevena Jovanović, met today with representatives of the U.S. Helsinki Commission, led by Senior Adviser Samuel Greene, as well as representatives of the Embassy of the United States in Belgrade.
The meeting focused on bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and the United States of America, with particular emphasis placed on the importance of further advancing cooperation and the need to commence the announced strategic dialogue between the two countries at the earliest opportunity.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on current regional and global issues, as well as on other topics to which the U.S. Helsinki Commission attaches particular importance, including democratization, human rights, fundamental freedoms, and other humanitarian matters.
