Jovanović confers with Delegation of the United Kingdom

The State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Nevena Jovanović, met today with a delegation of the United Kingdom, led by Ambassador Edward Ferguson and Kingsley Green, Head of the Organized Immigration Crime Taskforce at the UK Home Office.
The discussions placed particular focus on migration issues and the possibilities for joint engagement within regional initiatives in order to provide a more effective response to the challenges of illegal migration.
It was underlined that Serbia is achieving notable results in the management of migration flows, which creates scope for strengthening cooperation in this field—of great importance also to the United Kingdom, which is facing a significant influx of illegal migrants.
