Jovanović confers with the Ambassador of North Macedonia

In a cordial and substantive conversation, both sides expressed satisfaction with the prominent level of relations and overall cooperation between Serbia and North Macedonia, as well as their determination to further enhance them in the coming period.

The importance of good-neighborly cooperation was particularly emphasized, along with the need to further intensify political dialogue at the high and highest levels, while also strengthening cooperation within multilateral frameworks. Views were also exchanged on the European integration process, identified as a key shared priority and a framework for the overall political and social progress of the region.

State Secretary Jovanović recalled that during the previous four years, in her capacity as Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to North Macedonia, she had the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into developments in the country and to successfully cooperate with local institutions. Reflecting on this experience, she highlighted her positive impressions and added that, in her new role, she will gladly continue to work on further advancing the close relations between the two countries.
