17. Sep 2025.
The State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Nevena Jovanović, met today with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Belgrade, Ahmad Salam Soliman.

In a cordial and constructive exchange, both sides noted the exceptionally high level of bilateral relations between Serbia and Egypt, which have been developing dynamically in recent years, owing in large measure to the personal commitment and engagement of President Aleksandar Vučić and President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

The interlocutors emphasized that, alongside the intensive political dialogue, there are considerable opportunities for further strengthening trade and economic cooperation, particularly following the recent entry into force of the Free Trade Agreement, which will bring the markets of the two countries even closer together.

Views were also exchanged on current developments in the Western Balkans and the Middle East, reaffirming the commitment of both countries to the principles of international law—an issue of particular importance in the context of today’s complex geopolitical challenges.
