Dačić with a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Angola
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister of Foreign Affairs presented to the State Secretary Lopes an inter-governmental protocol on succession of five bilateral agreements signed between the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the People's Republic of Angola, and noted that the move reconfirmed the decades-long cooperation and lent it a new impetus.
Dačić noted that Serbia-Angola bilateral relations are extremely good and based on mutual respect, and there is readiness to advance them further by exchanging visits at high and the highest level.
Head of Serbian diplomacy Dačić once again expressed gratitude for the principled position of the Republic of Angola not to recognise the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called. of Kosovo, thereby confirming adherence to the basic principles of international law.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Angola Lopes said he was pleased to have an opportunity to visit Belgrade, the birthplace of the Non-Aligned Movement. He thanked Dačić for the warm welcome and said that Angola and Serbia were connected by traditional friendship based on the principles of togetherness, mutual understanding, and support as well as cooperation and solidarity.
Both parties expressed interest in further strengthening of economic cooperation, as well as cooperation in specific fields such as agriculture, health care, defence, IT, and education.
