Bilateral Political Consultations Between Serbia and India

Bilateral political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of External Affairs of the Republic of India were held today in Belgrade, led by State Secretary Damjan Jović and Secretary (West) Sibi George.

During the discussions, the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries were reaffirmed, and readiness was expressed to further enhance bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly in the fields of economy, information technology, agriculture, and culture.

The interlocutors underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation within international organizations and exchanged views on regional and global issues of shared interest.

State Secretary Jović expressed gratitude to the Republic of India for its principled support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.

Satisfaction was also expressed regarding the confirmation of the Republic of India’s participation in the Specialized International Exhibition Expo 2027 in Belgrade, with the expectation that this will provide an additional impetus for the further development of overall bilateral relations between the two countries.
