Political relations

Bilateral relations between Serbia and Poland are traditionally good. Poland supports the process of European integration of Serbia.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Nikola Selaković visited the Republic of Poland on 10-11 June 2021.at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland H.E. Mr. Zbigniew Rau,
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Nikola Selaković participated in Poznan in the meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Visegrad Group (V4) and the Western Balkans on 28 June 2021.

On 27 January 2020 the PM of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabić paid a working visit to Poland to attend the ceremony marking the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the German Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. The former Vice President of the Government and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Jacek Jacek Czaputowicz met during the 5th Summit, within the Berlin Process, which was held on 5 July 2019 in Poznan. The former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Jacek Jacek Czaputowicz visited Serbia on 13 June 2018 on the occasion of the opening of the 2nd round of the Belgrade Conference, he met with the former Vice President of the Government and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić, and he also had a meeting with the President Aleksandar Vučić and PM Ana Brnabić.

Economic relations

There is mutual interest and space for improving economic cooperation. In 2022. trade amounted to 2091,5 million euros (exports 914,8 million euros and imports 1176,7 million euros). In 2021. trade amounted to 1,69 billion euros (exports 757,068 million euros, and imports 936,412 million euros). The largest investments of Polish companies in Serbia are: TF Kable - Cable Factory Zaječar, Asseco SEE - IT consulting, Belgrade, GTC Serbia - Real Estate, Belgrade, Mot Development - IT, consulting, Belgrade, Rafako Engineering - IT consulting, Belgrade.

Bilateral agreements

There are currently 38 bilateral agreements in force, including:

  • Reconciliation and Arbitration Treaty between the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes and the Republic of Poland, entered into force on 16 June 1928;
  • Agreement on Economic Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Poland, date of signing and entry into force: 6 June 2012;
  • Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Poland on Cooperation in the Fight against Organized Crime and Other Types of Crime, entry into force: 15 July 2017;
  • Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Poland on Cooperation in the Field of Defence, date of entry into force: 13 August 2014.
