Political relations
The Hellenic Republic and the Republic of Serbia have a long-standing tradition of friendly and close relations and ties. A strategic partnership between the two countries was established through the signing of a Joint Declaration in 2019, during the Third Meeting of the High Council for Cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Hellenic Republic.
Bilateral relations are characterised by intensive political dialogue at both high and highest levels. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić, paid an official bilateral visit to Greece on 17–18 December 2024. The then Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Miloš Vučević, paid a working visit to the Hellenic Republic on 17–19 June 2024. The Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, paid working visits to the Republic of Serbia on 11–12 February and 23 October 2024. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Giorgos Gerapetritis, visited Serbia on 12 June 2026.
The Hellenic Republic has confirmed its participation in EXPO 2027.
Economic relations
According to the data of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, total trade in goods with the Hellenic Republic in 2025 amounted to EUR 883.9 million, of which exports from the Serbia accounted for EUR 345.1 million, while imports amounted to EUR 538.8 million.
Greece remains one of the largest investors in Serbia (around 2.2 billion euros in investments). The areas where Greece is present include banking, energy, real-estate, hotels, cement manufacture, etc.
Bilateral agreements
A total of 51 international agreements between the two countries are currently in force, notably:

Agreement between the Federal Government of the Republic of Yugoslavia and the Government of the Hellenic Republic on mutual incentives and protection of investments, signed on 25 June 1997;

Agreement between FRY and the Hellenic Republic on the avoidance of double taxation regarding taxes and property, signed on 25 June 1997;

Agreement between the Federal Government of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Government of the Hellenic Republic on economic and technical cooperation, signed on 09 May 2002;

Agreement on cooperation in the field of defence between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and Government of the Hellenic Republic, signed on 09 November 2006;
- Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the Hellenic Republic on mutual recognition of driving licenses, signed on 13 July 2017;
- Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Greece on social security signed on July 13, 2017;

Joint Declaration on the establishment of a strategic partnership between the Republic of Serbia and the Hellenic Republic, signed on 11 December 2019.
